Character Name: Hawkwing
Gender: She-cat
Age: 30 moons
Clan: Windclan
Rank: Warrior
Appearance:
Hawkwing is a golden tabby cat. Light stripes are visible in her fur but one must look extremely hard to see them. Her pelt appears extremely golden when in the sun and the stripes in her fur are easier to see. Her eyes are unusual for a cat. The are light brown or a pale brown. The pupil is dark dark black. Her eyes remsemble a hawk’s eye color and her name came from that. She is large for a she-cat and has a lithe muscular body. Her legs are long and running is no problem for her. A bunch of scars rest on her body above her left shoulder. Hawkwing’s tail is long, swishy and very slim. It is not very bushy. Sometimes it seems to have its own mind and likes to move instead of keeping still. Hawkwing’s fur is of medium length, about 1 ½ inches long and is very soft. Her paws are small and her ears are folded. She tends to have ear mites and infections more due to this.
Personality: Hawkwing is calm and rarely gets upset or angry. She takes orders well and will do what she is asked. Very reliable and trustworthy describe her well. Tell her a secret and she will die before she spills it. Her temper is very slow but it builds up over time until it explodes and any cat near her when this happens better run away for their lives. She enjoys the company of other cats but being alone doesn’t bother her either. Hawkwing hopes to mentor an apprentice someday soon and she isn’t that fond of kits. She finds them annoying but apprentices don’t bother her at all. Hawkwing isn’t bloodthirsty or ambitious and prefers hunting over fighting. She will not hesitate to kill an enemy but would rather claw them badly and let them run Camp to their clan. She is kind but stern and has a great deal of patience. She had to because her sister Petaltail was a bossy kit. Hawkwing tends to hide how she feels and her eyes rarely give off any emotion.
History: Hawkwing was born in a litter of three. Herself, and two sisters, Flowerkit and Sedgekit. Sedgekit was taken by a fox and killed. The kit had wanted to leave camp but her sisters didn’t and later on warriors found her dead in the fox’s den. Hawkkit and Flowerkit missed their sister terribly but Hawkkit got over it quickly, Flowerkit was slower about it. Hawkkit felt guilty about Sedgekit's death and vowed to watch out for Flowerkit, which she did. When Hawkkit was made an apprentice to Bluestrike, she was very excited and happy with who she got as her mentor. Bluestrike taught Hawkpaw many things, both about fighting and hunting. Hawkpaw excelled at both and learned quickly. Hawkpaw was better at learning fighting over hunting. One day Flowerpaw accidently took a rabbit from Thunderclan, their father was seriously injured. The fight left her father with injuries between minor and life threatening. One of them got infected; the medicine cat had missed one injury covered by fur at the stump of his tail. He was dead within two days. Unlike her sister, Hawkpaw was very close to her father and was sadden by his death. Hawkpaw’s warrior ceremony took place 6 moons after Flowerpaw’s ceremony. Hawkpaw had been injured in a fight with a badger and was stuck in the medicine cat’s den for a long time. She later received her warrior name after retraining from her injury. Hawkpaw became Hawkwing and she was excited to finally have her warrior name. When she was training, Hawkpaw's injury was rebroken and her warrior cermony was farther away. Her sister, Flowertail later on died when greencough hit the camp. Hawkwing still misses her sister but has moved on.
IC/RP: The wind rustled through the Windclan camp. Two small kits sat outside the nursery. They were just sitting there, not playing or doing anythings kits normally did. It was a beautiful day; the sun was shining, warm weather, and there was shade from the clouds but it didn't matter. They seemed lost, these kits did from the look in their eyes. Their eyes were empty and full of confusion and pain. One was a light tabby kit and the other had a golden pelt. The golden kit turned to her sister Flowerkit. Their sister had just died and the two kits were taking it extremely hard, expesically Flowerkit. Hawkkit missed Sedgekit alot but it was no use lying around waiting for her to show up. She wanted to get up and play like before but Hawkkit couldn't find the energy to do so. It was something she didn't understand. How could the sun shine when her sister was dead and how could the world still be the same.
She felt lost and helpless and she wanted to curl up next to her mother. 'Mother' the small kit thought bitterly, ever since Sedgekit's body was found, her mother had been ingnoring or more like forgotten her remaining kits. Hawkkit laid next to Flowerkit and gave her a comforting lick on the ear. Out of the two, Flowerkit needed their mother the most. It hurt Hawkkit to see Flowerkit like this, lost and hurt. Hawkkit looked up at the sunny sky with her hawk-like eyes and stared at the sun. 'I swear to you Starclan, I will not let anything happen to Petalkit for the rest of her life,' the golden kit vowed silently and planned to keep her sister as safe as possible. Running back to Flowerkit, Hawkkit noticed she had fallen asleep. "Sleep sister," she purred quietly and curled next to her. Hawkkit closed her eyes and fell alseep instantly and dreamed of nothing.
