Character Name: Hollyfeather
Gender: She-cat
Age: 24 moons
Clan: Windclan
Rank: Senior Warrior
Appearance: Hollyfeather's pelt is messy and matted. The colours in her coat consists of brown, black and orange. She isn't really on breed, more of a mix between a Calico and a tortie. Her eyes are a light emerald green and her around her nose is speckled with light brown and a brownish gold. The tip of her tail is white. Just white. Her left front paw is slightly gimped which resulted in her losing 2 claws. Hollyfeather's right back claw is white like her tail. Her head is always held with pride and success. Her widely set shoulders bare the scars of battles. Her legs are strong and lean and helps her to move quickly but not for long considering her paw.
Personality: Hollyfeather doesn't really have one personality. She can go from being the nicest cat in the world to the meanest and rudest cat. Was raised to respect leaders and elders and medicine cats with as much respect as StarClan. She may not be the nicest cat cat times, but she would do anything to help protect the clan. Even when she is in a bad mood, she can never bring herself low enough, to not help a clan Clan Cat in need.In battles she is kinda useless. She has a growing of fear of killing a cat in battle and what Starclan might think of her if she did. But in battles she is resourceful and runs around telling other cats which cats need help. If the clan is in desperate need of another fighter, she will fight to the death, in blind fury or passion.
Unlike most cats who stalk and pursue their prey, Hollyfeather was trained in a different way. Instead of stalking, she sits still as a stone with her mouth open smelling prey. When prey comes into her eyesight, she will then crouch and pursue. Usually this works to her advantage, but not always. To go along with her strange techniques, she is very helpful and clever on patrols. When she is on a patrol she will hide up in a tree and gaze out into the other clans territory. IF she sees another clan cat, she will jump down from the tree and hold her ground.
History: Like most cats in the forest, she was born into the clan. Her sister was born with a broken neck and didn't survive. Unfortunately, her mother didn't survive either due to massive blood loss. Having pity on the kitten, another queen took her in and nursed as if she was her own. Hollyfeather was a rambunctious kit and loved to play fight. When she was 4 moons old she attacked a warrior in the camp as a joke and wound up in the medicine cats den after the warrior threw her across the camp with a swipe of his paw. Looking for sympathy after that, she found that none of the cats had any sympathy to spare. But what she received was, a watchful eye from her leader and the deputy. In her 6 moon about a night before she was give her apprentice name, she got into a fight with another kit. It wasn;t a really serious fight but she walked away with a scratch on her nose that she carried around with her since that day.
On the night of the naming ceremony, it was only her and a male kit who she didn't much like. As she sat and stared up at the great leader with anticipation and anxiety, she waited to hear the leaders words. But to disappointment, the leader gave the male kit his apprentice name first. Disappointed she became less excited and stared up at the male kit with hate and annoyance. Through the whole naming process of the male kit, she sat itching to receive her name. When the leader gave a warrior the male apprentice, she turned to her and stared at her with mischief filled eyes. When the leader finally spoke, Hollyfeather couldn't help but feel honoured. Receiving her name made her swell with pride and she could barely sit still. As if to prove something, she was apprenticed to the warrior that had threw her across the camp. Even though she disliked the warrior, she couldn't help but feel very honoured to have received him.
During her training period, she learned quickly and smoothly. The first thing that she was taught, was how to hunt. The reason she hunts like the way she does, is because of the warrior. Hunting came naturally to her like it would any cat. Fighting, was another story. In her first fighting lesson, it was hazardous. She wound up losing two claws in her front left paw. Needless to say, her training was set off fora while. But when she got back into training, she trained hard and long to become a warrior. On the night of the full moon, her and Kindlepaw, the male apprentice, got to go to the Gathering. It fascinated her. But before she knew it, it was over and she was back in camp.
On the night of her 14th moon, she was given her warrior name, along with Kindlepaw. The same emotions that had engulfed her when she got her apprentice name, filled her again. When they had to sit in silence, it had started to rain. During the vigil, she became drenched to the bone and when morning came round, she was suffering from a cold. She shook violently as she waited for her leader to dismiss her from the vigil. Kindletail on the other hand, walked away with nothing more than a soaked coat and stiff bones. The second night of being a warrior, was nothing more than a bore. Instead of sleeping in the warriors den she had to sleep in the medicine cats den and take medicine all night.
After she got over her sickness, she helped out in the clan for the next 10 moons until a fight broke out just inside the territory. She fought like any other cat would. But she didn't fight that well. The clan did wind up fighting thanks to her cleverness in the fight.
IC/RP: The clouds above her head made her feel small and helpless. Although she felt at Camp in the camp, she still felt like she was missing something. A moon ago, she had found out that the cat that had raised her, wasn't her mother. I made her feel alone and miss placed. But despite that, everything was perfect. Shaking her head she rose to her paws and sighed and padded toward the warrior den. Sticking her head into the den she opened her mouth but drew her head back in disappointment. Where was all the cats? She asked herself but shook it off and sat down again and stared up to the sky and was lost in thought.
