Once this happens it is best to stay away from her. Her loyalty to her clan is strong but she will help any sick or injured cat she sees. If Brightpaw was allowed to, she would even bring sick kittypets into camp. Brightpaw loves to keep busy, and often is in her den doing something unless she is needed. Her talkative self almost never shuts up unless the cat she is tending to is seriously injured. Making friends has never been a problem for this cat but there are only a few cats she trusts enough to talk to about important matters. She often gets annoyed at her brother Blizzardpaw for his overprotective nature
History: :Brightpaw was born sometime in the middle of new-leaf. She is not clanborn and neither is her brother, Blizzardpaw. His is the only family that she knows exisited. Who her mother and father are, she doesn't know and at this point doesn't really care. Brightpaw and her brother were found by a Riverclan patrol when they were only almost 2 moons old. The clan later found another kit who had drowned not long after. It is assumed, that this kit was of the same litter. The river had flooded and these two kits were caught on one of the stones and were rescued. They were taken back to camp and were given to a queen named Barkpelt. Both Brightkit and Blizzardkit, as they were known at the time, were accepted into the clan. Barkpelt had two other kits. A she-kit named Riverkit and a tom, Stormkit. Brightpaw and her brother got along with these new littermates easily. Blizzardpaw and Brightpaw became apprentices 5 moons later. During the first few moons of her apprenticeship, Brightpaw showed great talent at hunting and was enjoying her time training. It didn't last. During a storm one night she was sent to find a patrol and a monster slid off the thunderpath and hit her. Thus, crippling her back leg. She spent her free time helping the medicine cat Songbird with her duties and later asked if she could be Songbird's apprentice.
IC/RP: Brightpaw's ears flicked back and forth as she gazed at the camp before her. Everything was on its normal routine; warriors leaving for patrols, kits playing in the open or going to listen to the elders tell stories. Sighing, she stood up and looked in the herb stock for mouse bile. Songbird, Riverclan's medicine cat had told her to take it easy but it was hard to just sit in camp all day. She was used to training with her mentor, learning how to hunt different prey, or cleaning out the elders' den. Brightpaw was a stubborn she-cat and she couldn't sit around all day and so even if she couldn't train, she could still take care of the elders or try to. Caring the moss with mousebile in her mouth, she was careful to keep any from getting in her mouth as she limped toward the elder's den. From the entrance she could hear one of the elder cats telling the stories to the kits. Spotting one of her favorite eldersTwotooth, she went over to the old tom. He greeted her and she got to work looking for fleas on his tabby gray pelt. Finding a flea she pressed the mouse bile on it and held her breath. The stuff smelled horrible and tasted even worse when you got in your mouth. The taste lasted for days and it made prey taste disgusting and vile. Brightpaw shuddered reClan Cating her first experience with it and watched the flea fall off. She shoved into a pile and searched for more with sharp blue eyes. As she worked, Brightpaw listened to the stories. She knew them well and still enjoyed them. Finishing up Twotooth's pelt, the old tom swatted her with his tail and she grinned at him. Maybe even if she couldn't train, she could still help Riverclan out somehow, even if it meant taking care of the elders for the rest of her life. She enjoyed it while other apprentices complained of it. It was calming and easy for her to appreciate and respect them.
